Some foreign travelers may be eligible to visit the U.S. without a visa.  Check if your country is included in the Visa Waiver Program

Basic Steps for Travel to the United States:

Here are some basic steps to follow along with helpful links to the appropriate web sites to assist you in preparation for travel to the United States.

  1. Determine if your country participates in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP)

  2. Determine if you meet the requirements to use the VWP
    1. Which travelers may use the Visa Waiver Program to enter the United States?

  3. If you do plan to enter the U.S. using the VWP, ensure you have met the requirements for entering the U.S.

  1. If you cannot use the VWP, you must apply for a B-1 Visa.  To apply for a B-1 Visa
    1. Check visa processing wait times for your country and plan ahead
    2. Make an appointment with your country’s U.S. Embassy for an interview
    3. Request a Letter of Invitation as evidence for the purpose of your trip as business to attend the AEISEP conference
    4. Bring the required documentation, including completed forms and valid passport to the interview.
    5. Be prepared to pay any required fees.
